The Healing Cypress Forest nestles comfortably in the arms of Mt. Palyeongsan. 
It is a forest healing space created in the largest cypress forest in the country (416 ha). The main facilities include a therapy center, a meditation shelter, 10.5 km of healing forest trails (Nordic walking course), an eco-friendly water playground, Gijaeum Tower, an observatory, and a rest area, and a total of 109 of 36 different forest healing facilities are popular with visitors.

A total of 28 billion won was invested in 100 hectares of land in Geumsari, Yeongnam-myeon, and Seonggi-ri, Jangam-myeon, at the foot of Mt. Palyeongsan, to create the best forest healing space using cypress forests, and to promote people's health and well-being and improve their quality of life. The project to create a full-fledged forest recreation area began in earnest, and the area was temporarily opened in June 2018 to welcome visitors. 

The Healing Forest is a dense forest full of the energy of the cypress forest, and it is a naturally blessed place that combines healing and recreation using the "yin energy" of the forest in Seonggi-gu, Jomam-myeon, and the "yang energy" of the forest in Geumsa-gu, Yeongnam-myeon.
